The Castelão & Trincadeira 2022 is a lively, youthful red wine made from 75% Castelão and 25% Trincadeira – two classic Portuguese grape varieties. Fermentation took place naturally over two days in a traditional Lagar without temperature control. The wine was then pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Only 1,400 bottles were produced by winemaker André Duque Lourenço.

In the glass, it displays a light ruby ​​red with fresh aromas of raspberries, cherries, and pomegranate. On the palate, it is dry, light to medium-bodied, with very soft tannins and lively acidity. A juicy, uncomplicated wine that nevertheless retains a certain complexity thanks to its minimally invasive aging and expressive fruit.

Grown on granite soils and characterized by the Central Iberian climate with hot summers and cool, wet winters, this wine combines tradition with modern, relaxed drinking pleasure. Best enjoyed slightly chilled.
